The ancient Guardhouse Hall, commonly referred to as the “Medieval Hall” (14x8x3) has a fascinating romantic feel evocating scenes from an ancient past. It is placed on the ground floor of the castle and can be accessed directly from outside or through other internal rooms. Both entrances have three steps and there is an emergency exit. Floor heating warms the room, which can seat up to 80 people with an overall capacity of 100 people.

Upon entering the hall the pervading atmosphere of past times surrounds you with sombre period furniture and decoration, evocating the Medieval function of the room. The hall has a wooden ceiling supported by mighty stone corbels, brick flooring and stone walls decorated solely with niches for candles and a large arrowloop. The room is equipped with an adjustable lighting system and a table for use at conferences or meetings. Among the adjoining rooms there is a wonderful master’s kitchen (7x5x3 m) heated by a large fireplace called a “fogolâr”. Bathrooms are provided. Available year-round.
