Azienda Vitivinicola Franco Furlan

In the small village of Cosa you can sip wine in a quaint bar or enjoy a typical Friulian meal at the Alla Baita di Castelcosa trattoria-inn (baita means chalet). If you should decide to stay overnight there are three guestrooms available at the Winery. Other accommodation can be found in Spilimbergo or in Valvasone. These towns can be reached by coach service.

The Franco Furlan winery is located in the heart of Friuli in the antique Castle of Cosa, a few kilometres from Spilimbergo. It has been making wine with the label Castelcosa since 1978. They produce fine table wines, non-D.O.C., giving more importance to the quality of the final product rather than the mere location of the vineyards. The wines they produce are internationally competitive and are exported worldwide.

The Winery has wooden barrels with a capacity of 100,000 litres in total, where white and red wines are aged in order to reach their full potential. In addition to these wooden barrels the winery is equipped with stainless steel and fibreglass containers for storage and modern bottling equipment.
